TN Visa



Under North American Free Trade Agreement, Canadians and Mexicans are allowed to work in the U.S. temporary with TN Visa. If the applicant is a Canadian Citizen, he/she does not need an employer to file the petition for him/her. While, a petition must be filed from an employer in order a Mexican citizen to be eligible to work in the U.S. The duration of stay depends on how long the employer requires the worker, up to maximum of 1 year. The alien under NAFT can receive extension of stay in one-year increments with no outside limit on the total period of stay. The applicant must be able to perform professional tasks in the U.S.
